The shadow soon walked forward into the light, making eye contact with Mike. It was an older man, dressed in several layers of adventure, mountain-climbing style clothes. "Hey, let's battle!" He challenged, a large hand grasping a Poke Ball from his belt, throwing forth a level seven Geodude. "I won't go easy on you just because you're youthful, either!"

Mike wasn't very prepared for this. He has never gone one on one against a trainer before. Mike clasps his hand on the pokeball and shoots it out.

"Okay. Looks like we have a battle on our hands. Sandshrew, I choose you!"

Mike hesitated a little bit but he knew that ground was strong against rock.

"Alright Sandshrew, show him what you've got. Sand-Attack, then right away use rollout."

Sandshrew sticks his paw in the sand and throws it in the air. Right after that he gets into a ball and heads after the elderly man's Geodude.

The man wasn't elderly, but perhaps middle aged would be accurate. His hair was still brown and full of colour, his bones strong and big from being so active and carrying the heavy loads contained and attached to his backpack. The Geodude growled, shaking and trying to dislodge some of the dirt from his eyes when the Sandshrew struck it, throwing him backwards. "Use tackle!" The trainer ordered, and the rock-type went to do so.

As Geodude hurdles towards Sandy, he has time to move but once again, Mike hesitates and Sandy is down. It stopped Rollout right in it's tracks. Sandy gets up with no remorse and hears what Mike has to say.

"Alright Sandy continue to use your Rollout!"

Sandy curls back up into a ball and heads after Geodude

"Tackle again!" The trainer commands, but he underestimates Sandy's determination. The rollout's super effective, after all, and Geodude unleashes a gravelly cry of anguish. It was lucky for Sandy, really, that the opponent only had one offensive move. Things could possibly different if that wasn't the case. Right now, all trainer and Pokemon would need to win this, was patience.

Sandy was on a roll with his Rollout because of how many times it hit, Rollout is a very powerful move. Michael did his best to make sure Sandy was okay. Sandy has been working really hard to do what he needs to, to make sure his trainer is very proud of him. Michael was very proud of Sandy as he commands it one more time.

"Sandy! Finish him with Rollout one... more... time...!!!"

Sandy in his ball heads towards the defenseless Geodude that is in pain from the last couple of hits

With the level difference and strength of the move, ordering a tackle for Geodude might have been foolish. Sandy hit Geodude head on, the power throwing him all the way back into the wall. Dust fell from the ceiling, the cavern seeming to almost shake for a moment. When the rock-type finally fell from the wall, he was out for the count. "Damn, that's one tough Sandshrew..." The mountain climber admitted, returning his Pokemon. Sandy earned seven experience points, and the trainer offered Michael one hundred pokedollars for his win.
